Cat Dissection
For my dissection I chose to study a cat. I wanted to do a cat because I was told that dissecting a cat would be the most challenging. Another reason why I chose the cat is because out of all those animals I interact with cats the most so I am the most intrigued by them. For my whole life I have been with cats so I was curious about how they work on the inside.
Through the process of dissecting this cat I learned that felines are one of the most efficient hunters designed by nature. They are set apart from other hunters because of some of their body parts such as their K9s, incisive ducts, and a very large olfactory lobe which means they have a very accurate sense of smell. I also learned about the location of their vital organs.
During this dissection I learned a lot more about the functions of the organs in my own body. Not only did I learn about felines but because they share some similarities with humans I learned more about how my own body works. This gave me insight on what is going on inside my body while I am carrying out every day actions.
